On May 12 2015, delegates from "Coventry University, UK" visited Chennai Branch of BroadMind Consultant to conduct a spot admission for the candidates who wish to pursue their higher education in Coventry University in this September 2015 intake.

Ms. Joan Felina, The Recruitment Officer of Coventry University for India interacted with all the participants and briefed about University facilities, Courses offered by them, GREAT India Scholarship and other Scholarship for International students, Study abroad programs, Advantages of Sandwich courses for Undergraduate Students, etc.

Many students participated with great enthusiasm and pose various queries especially on getting scholarship. She explained that,

GREAT India Scholarship

The GREAT scholarship scheme in association with the British Council offers Indian students up to £5,000 for year one only, based on academic performance. Scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis and applicants will need to submit a 300 word essay explaining why they should be considered for the scholarship. The scholarship is open to all undergraduate and postgraduate Indian students wishing to join one of the degree programs mentioned below in September 2015. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of both the essay and academic merit,

Eligibility

Undergraduate applicants  : Must hold XII with 70% or equivalent.

Postgraduate applicants     : Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree at grade 2:1 or equivalent.

How to Apply?

In order to apply for this scholarship, students has to submit a 300 word essay outlining why you should be chosen for the scholarship. Essays will be graded on academic experience, relevant volunteering or work experience, descriptions of motivation and economic hardships.

Students can submit the essay along with Name, Application number and the course they wish to apply for at any of our BroadMind Consultant office.

Deadline for submission of applications: September 2015 is Monday 13th July 2015.

Due to the high volume of applications, successful applicants will be notified by Monday 20th July 2015.

Study Abroad Programs

When the Plus Two students asked more about Study Abroad Programs and Sandwich course options available for Undergraduate students, she briefed that under Study Abroad Program, students can do 1 year of Study in USA or Italy.

Sandwich Programs

In Sandwich course, students can opt for 4 years programs instead of 3 years wherein students will get a paid internship opportunity in the third year in their relevant industries and students need not pay any tuition fee of that year except a nominal administrative fee. This will help them to gain hand on experience and honours degree.
